FLUX.1 Krea does not look generated

Image models share one flaw: everything comes out too pretty. Perfect light, a cleaned-up background, nothing accidental — and after three of those frames you can tell where they came from. This model deliberately does not do that.

Rendered by this model

A mug on a worn worktop, uneven window light, a water ring in the wood. This is what a frame that does not shout "studio" looks like.

What it is good for

Uneven light and something accidental in frame
Not a cleaned background, not a centred product, a shadow that is not perfect. Those are exactly the cues by which we read a photo as real.
Built for social
On Instagram and TikTok a polished catalogue frame scrolls past without stopping anyone, and a photo from somebody's kitchen does not. This model makes the second kind.
Any pixel size
From 512 to 2048 px a side, with no ratio list to choose from. You get the format you asked for, including an odd one.

When to pick something else

The very mechanism that buys the credibility is a problem on a listing's first photo. On a marketplace and in search a thumbnail has to be clean, centred and unambiguous — there, uneven light and an off-centre product work against you. Use Seedream 4 or FLUX1.1 Pro Ultra for the main shot and keep this model for the frames around it. It takes no reference photos either, so it will not render a specific item.

How to brief this model

The things this engine handles differently from the rest. The habits that hold for every model are collected separately, in the help centre.

  1. Ask for the imperfection explicitly. "Overcast day", "slightly uneven exposure", "a faint water ring on the counter" — those are the words that stop this model looking like a catalogue.
  2. Leave the product off centre. "Half a centimetre off centre", "taken quickly" works better here than any description of composition.
  3. Do not use it for the first photograph in a listing. A thumbnail has to read at a dozen pixels, not feel personal — use Seedream 4 for that.
  4. Give the size in pixels, from 512 to 2048. A format for a reel or a post is set exactly here, with no cropping afterwards.
  5. Do not try to supply your own photograph. It takes no references, so the product is generated from the brief every time.
